About the Chef and Author
Christopher Thé is a born-and-bred Sydneysider who has always held a passion for quality, innovation and deliciousness. After working at Quay, as the pastry chef for three-hatted Claude’s in Woollahra and stints at renowned bakeries Sonoma and Victoire, Thé set up his own shop, BlackStar Pastry, in Newtown.
For Thé, baking is all about creating that perfect (edible) moment and being able to share it with others. He constantly creates new and extraordinary flavour combinations led by seasonal availability of produce, or just as inspiration strikes. BlackStar Pastry was established in October 2008 and, more than 700 4am starts later, Christopher Thé and his team are still baking delicious moments for us all.
